PzKpfw II “Luchs” Light Tank – Pro Built

This is the PzKpfw II “Luchs” Light tank from ICM in 1/35 scale with lots of TLC and extras. This kit has also been released from Alanger and is the same kit with extra flashing. I built the Alanger kit some time ago and was quite the chore. Nice to see the original with all the crisp edges and no flashing. The kit still needed a lot of work to get even close to right. I scratch built the engine deck and hinges, the barrel is steel, one antenna is brass while the other is kit and all the grab handles and other small detail. PE grills, wood storage boxes and jack block where also added. Turret will rotate and gun will elevate also, turret doors are held in place with latex so they can be opened although there is no interior detail. Decaled to represent the 4th Pz. Div., Ukraine, Chernobyl, October, 1943 and painted in Model Master acrylics and metalizers followed with Georgian oils and Mungyo soft pastels and oil pastels. Good looking model.

PHOTO NOTE: Photography was taken with a Cannon S5 IS digital camera with florescent and natural lighting. Anything that looks like a fingerprint is just powder from latex gloves and is easily removed.
